Southeast Supply Header
The Southeast Supply Header, LLC (SESH) is a joint venture between Enable Midstream and Spectra Energy Corp. SESH received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in September 2007, and the pipeline was placed into commercial service in September 2008. The 286 mile, 36-inch and 42-inch diameter pipeline has the capacity of 1 Bcf per day and extends from the Perryville Hub in northeastern Louisiana to the Gulfstream Natural Gas System, L.L.C. pipeline system, which is 50 percent owned by an affiliate of Spectra Energy, near southern Mobile County, Alabama. Southern Natural Gas, an affiliate of El Paso Corporation, and SESH jointly owns the first 115 miles of the pipeline, which has an expanded design capacity of 1.5 Bcf per day.
SESH links the onshore natural gas supply basins of east Texas and northern Louisiana to markets now predominantly served by offshore natural gas supplies from the Gulf of Mexico. The pipeline gives customers an important alternative to offshore supply, which can be vulnerable to weather-related disruptions.
